Wells Details CEO's 2008 Pay

Wells Fargo & Co. said Tuesday that the 2008 salary, perks and stock-based awards of John Stumpf, its president and chief executive, were worth about $9 million.

The compensation included stocks and options valued at $7.92 million at the time of grants in early 2008.

In its proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the San Francisco financial services company said Stumpf received a salary of $878,920 and all other compensation of $242,167 for 2008.

Wells said none of its senior executive s received a bonus for 2008 because it had not met goals.
