Western League Names Executives

WEST

Western League of Savings Institutions, Los Angeles, the trade association for California, Arizona, and Nevada thrift institutions, elected officers for the year that began Oct. 1.

Robert L. Hunt 2d, president of Coast Federal Bank, was elected league chairman, succeeding D. Tad Lowrey, president and chief executive officer of CenFed Bank.

J.L. Thomas, chairman of Quaker City Federal Savings and Loan Association, was chosen league vice chairman.

J. Lance Erickson, executive vice president, secretary, and general counsel of Great Western Financial Corp., was elected to a three-year term as league treasurer. He succeeded Kevin M. Twomey, chief financial officer at Home Savings of America, lead subsidiary of H.F. Ahmanson & Co.
