Looking at the author's LinkedIn profile shows he started an e-commerce company. He never worked in the finance industry. In what way does the CFPB protect small business from large banks? It is not involved in business to business transactions. The survey is laughable. I own a small financial services business and know thousands of others. The CFPB promulgated rules that increased costs to consumers, made financial products less available, and generally failed to protect them.

Not to mention that the opinion poll was created by the author...so not much in the way of credibility. Every purpose stated in the CFPB's mission statement is already covered by multiple other government agencies. So, this particular agency is going to be so much better than the others eh? Fat chance. That is unless you give it unlimited funding, unlimited power and no accountability... if that sound familiar you might recognize such countries as North Korea, Nazi Germany, and others.

"to make it less capable of fulfilling its mission to protect consumers." You are incorrect. He is doing this to protect America from an unaccountable government abomination. That is unless you are one of those special people who believe that the government should dictate to you what color socks you can wear and what type of hair cut you can have.
