American Express Financial Advisors announced Wednesday that it had hired the president of Axa Financial Inc. and a former senior Genworth Financial Inc. executive as vice presidents.
Jeff McGregor, the former Axa president, will be the national sales manager for inside product distribution at the American Express Co. unit. He will lead the wholesaling of proprietary products including insurance, annuities, and mutual funds, in the company's financial adviser channel.
At Axa, Mr. McGregor was responsible for annuity, life insurance, and mutual fund product sales in the wire, regional, and adviser distribution channels.
Marty Griffin will be the general manager of outside product distribution. He will oversee sales and marketing of annuity products in the bank and broker-dealer channels and try to expand outside distribution opportunities for insurance and mutual fund products.
At Genworth. Mr. Griffin led the development of the GE Retirement Answer product suite.
