Fidelity Southern Corp., the parent of Fidelity Bank in Atlanta, has formed an insurance agency, LionMark Insurance Co.
The agency, approved by the Georgia Department of Insurance in December, opened in June.
LionMark will initially market a credit loss protection insurance product, said James B. Miller Jr., Fidelity Southern's chairman, in a new release Wednesday. He said the earnings enhancement is not expected to be material in the first year of operations.
Fidelity will offer LionMark's credit-related insurance products through 19 branches in Atlanta and an insurance office in the city. David Buchanan is LionMark's president; James A. Duryea is its vice president.
