ABD Insurance and Financial Services, a Redwood City, Calif., provider of global risk management and employee benefits services, said Monday it had expanded its presence in San Diego County with a new office in Carlsbad, Calif.
The insurance agency arm of Greater Bay Bancorp of Palo Alto, Calif., already has technology, manufacturing, construction, and public-sector clients in the San Diego area.
Andrew Skillen, a senior vice president for employee benefits services, heads ABD's San Diego County team. The initial focus of the expanded operation there is employee benefits, the company said. Other core services include property and casualty, directors and officers compliance, and retirement consulting.
ABD has 785 employees, 17 offices in regional business centers in the West and annual revenue of about $150 million.
