In Brief: Pru Opens Section for Women on Web

Prudential Financial Inc. in Newark, N.J., said Tuesday that it had started a Women and Finance section on its Web site to supply information and tools designed to help women address their financial issues.

Processing Content

The content at the Women and Finance section of Prudential.com includes detailed information on preparing financially for and living in life stages such as single professional, single parent, growing family, post-divorce or widowhood, approaching retirement, and living in retirement.

The section also has planning tools and guides that offer both a snapshot of existing financial health and an outline of what needs to be considered to reach financial goals.

The Women and Finance section follows up on a one-page women's landing page released in 2002. The new Web content is the latest outreach in a women's campaign Prudential began in 2000 with the release of its first women's financial literacy study. The insurer repeated the study in 2002 and 2004 and will do so again in early 2006.

Prudential Financial companies, with about $511 billion of assets under management at June 30, serve individual and institutional customers worldwide.
