Robeco Investment Management, the New York asset management arm of the Dutch company Robeco Group, said it is expanding distribution into the financial intermediary and separately managed account channels.
The unit announced Tuesday that it has formed relationships with SEI Investments Inc. and Wilmington Trust Corp. and that it expects to pursue similar business opportunities.
Robeco Group has been distributing products through financial intermediaries in Europe for years, but in the United States it has focused on distributing products and services to large institutional investors.
Robeco Investment Management has joined the small-cap managers on SEI's manager-of-managers adviser platform. And it also is a subadviser to Wilmington Trust's multimanager midcap strategy, which supplies wealth advisory services to high-net-worth clients, regional banks, and corporations.
Robeco Group has $187 billion of global assets under management.
