Jackson National Life Insurance Co., a Lansing, Mich., unit of London's Prudential PLC, said it had promoted Jim Binder to senior vice president and treasurer.

Mr. Binder, 44, oversees cash management and long-term financial planning, the company said on Thursday. He also is Jackson National's chief risk officer. He joined the insurer in 1997 as director of its internal audit division and most recently was vice president, finance and corporate strategy, for five years.
Jackson National had $74 billion of assets at Dec. 31.
