Forward Management LLC, an asset manager based in San Francisco, hired Jeffrey P. Cusack as president.
He succeeded J. Alan Reid Jr., who remains chief executive officer.
Mr. Cusack, formerly an executive vice president of sales and marketing for JPMorgan's private client services division, will focus initially on the integration of the Accessor Funds and Forward Management's expansion into the bank channel.
He will oversee Forward Management's investment product lineup, including its separately managed account business.
Forward Management is the investment adviser to the Forward Funds. The 33 funds it manages have $5 billion of assets.
Before his stint at JPMorgan, Mr. Cusack was a senior vice president and head of managed accounts at Charles Schwab.
Forward Management announced the hiring Tuesday.
