Stu Richards is Chief Executive of Bredin, Inc., a marketing consultancy that helps Fortune 500 firms develop profitable, long-term relationships with small businesses through:
- Original market research to provide insight into small business needs, attitudes and preferences
- Acquisition, retention and sales support programs including online campaigns, direct mail, print materials, presentations, white papers, Web site content and interactive elements, and newsletters
Stu is responsible for setting strategy for the organization, as well as day-to-day management of company operations including client engagement oversight, marketing and business development, partnerships and alliances, product development, finance, operations and HR.
Stu is responsible for the acquisition and satisfactory execution of research and marketing programs for clients including American Express OPEN, AT&T, Bank of America, Bangor Savings Bank, BBVA Compass Bank, BOK Financial, Capital One Bank, Cisco Systems, Citizens Bank, City National Bank, Comcast, Commerce Bank, Dell, Fidelity Investments, Google, HP, HSBC, Huntington Bank, IBM, Lexmark, M&I Bank, M&T Bank, PeoplesBank, Microsoft, Monster Worldwide, Qwest, Regions Bank, Samís Club, SAP, Sony, SunTrust Bank, TD Bank, Verizon, VMware and Wells Fargo.
A 16-year veteran of small business marketing and communications, Stu joined Bredin in 1997 as vice president of marketing. He was named president in 1999 and CEO in 2001. Prior to joining Bredin, Stu served as director of marketing at DeLorme Mapping, product manager at Nabisco Brands, and marketing representative at IBM Corporation. Stu holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA from Middlebury College.
