Fulton Financial gets merger approvals.

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Fulton Financial Corp. said it has received all banking regulatory approvals for its proposed merger with Mid-Atlantic Bankcorp, parent of Hagerstown Trust Co. in Maryland.

With approvals in hand from the Federal Reserve Board, the Pennsylvania Department of Banking, and Maryland's bank commissioner, Fulton awaits a Mid-Atlantic stockholders vote at a special meeting July 21.

Rufus A. Fulton Jr., president and chief executive of Fulton, and Philip L. Rohrer, Mid-Atlantic's president and chief executive, said they expected the merger would close in the third quarter.
