Short Takes: Bennington Hires Exec To Lead Fund Managers

Bennington Capital Management has hired an executive to help it choose and oversee independent portfolio managers for its family of no-load mutual funds.

James Li, 34, will also work to improve the Seattle company's financial planning software and help run its money market mutual fund. He had been a consultant at Frank Russell Co., Tacoma, Wash.

Bennington is the parent company of Accessor Capital Management. The Accessor Funds have more than $1 billion under management. They are sold through small-bank trust departments.
