DALLAS – Advancial FCU and University FCU have created a CUSO called 2nd Node that will develop a business continuity solution for both credit unions and they hope to add more credit union customers.
The core of this new CUSO’s services is centered on a highly secure facility, in an undisclosed location, offering redundancy at every level.
2nd Node said its full-service business continuity offering insures both credit unions can guarantee their members receive a high level of service at all times. Devices and programs (telecom, networks, power, etc.) that are necessary for fully operating these large credit unions now have complete redundancy in place.
University FCU, located in Austin, Texas, will be using 2nd Node for disaster recovery services, as a co-lo facility for its secondary systems and as a tertiary back-up site for operations. By partnering with Advancial in launching the CUSO, UFCU will provide assurance to employees and members that all IT devices and programs will continue to run smoothly and without interruptions, no matter the situation.
