Among them is the Kommersmith Family. Elizabeth Kommersmith of Keesler FCU has been laboring to rebuild her life and that of her family since the hurricane destroyed their home here.

Over the past 18 months Elizabeth, like so many others, has had to learn to spend hours and hours on the phone with authorities and insurance companies, wade through red tape, learn to deal with emptying portable toilets, and keep swarms of insects off their children.

For many, help from other credit unions has been the only positive in their lives. Subscribers to the Credit Union Journal can find a fascinating story of what life has been like for the Kommersmiths online at www.cujournal.com. Just type "Kommersmith" into the search engine in the left navigation bar and learn what others continue to experience every day. (c) 2007 The Credit Union Journal and SourceMedia, Inc.
