Allegacy FCU Opens Facility Dedicated To Cancer Survivors

Allegacy FCU officially opened its new offices here last week, a $20 million development which the credit union dedicated to survivors of breast and ovarian cancer. The new offices will provide the $800 million credit union with 87,000-square-feet of space for 150 employees. The 35-year-old credit union, chartered for employees of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., has 10 branches in the Winston-Salem area and 14 nationwide. The building, with a three-story atrium and a lobby that will accommodate in-house auto displays to promote the CU's car loans, was developed by KDA Financial Inc., and designed by Summer/Wise & Architects, both of Atlanta.
