EUREKA, Calif. – Coast Central CU donated $50,000 to four community groups.
The funds were awarded to: McKinleyville Community Services District for its new tot lot playground in Pierson Park ($10,000); the Dunes for the Discovery Coastal Wildlife Exhibit in Manila ($8,950); the Arcata Police Department for an Automated License Plate Reading System; and ($24,824); and the Burnt Ranch School for replacement of its emergency alarm system at the school ($6,226).
The Coast Central Community Investment Program commits $100,000 each year to assist community organizations throughout Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties. This $100,000 is divided into two separate ‘rounds’ of $50,000 each.
