Mike Williams, president of Colorado CU in Littleton and chairman of the CUAC board, told Credit Union Journal there was “absolutely no problem” that prompted Dill’s departure after six years at the helm.

“It is a direction issue and the board felt with all the challenging times we are in the middle of right now we wanted to go in a different direction,” said Williams. “John is a highly ethical guy and there was no malfeasance of any type. We thank John for his leadership over the past six years, but the board felt it was time for a change of leadership.”

The CUAC board said Pete Kirchhof, the league’s former SVP of government affairs, has been named President and CEO on an interim basis. The board will begin the search for a new CEO immediately.
