Confidence Shows Second Month of Improvement

NEW YORK – New data released by the Conference Board finds that for the second month in a row consumer confidence has improved.

The research firm’s overall confidence index increased 9.3 points to 64.5, following a 14.3-point rise in November. Those numbers are in line with consumer confidence levels last seen in spring 2011.

The Conference Board said the improvement was the biggest two-month increase since March 1991.
