NEW LONDON, Conn. – NCUA on Friday said it granted a charter to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Employee FCU to serve any healthcare workers in Middlesex or New London counties, the first TIP charter granted this year.

The TIP – for tradewide, industrywide or professionwide – will allow the $27-million credit union to serve anyone working in the healthcare industry in those two counties.
The credit union was chartered in 1959 to serve employees of the hospital and now serves several nearby select groups.
