ATLANTA – Cooperative Services, a CUSO owned by credit unions and Georgia Central CU, said it is implementing Viewpointe’s Pointe2Pointe with Internet connectivity service for check image exchange transfers.
The company said Pointe2Pointe with Internet connectivity provides a quick, cost-effective method of conducting image exchange for moderate volumes and eliminates the need for a dedicated telecom line. The service provides a safe, simple and secure platform to connect with other exchange partners by leveraging commonly used file transfer software.
"There are 140 credit unions relying on us for payment services; we need a cost-effective image exchange that is not compromising on integrity or quality," said Jerry Keenan, senior vice president, Cooperative Services. "CSI continues to seek ways of adding value to its owners, through a variety of initiatives, and Viewpointe's image exchange service is one such undertaking."
Separately, an item in Wednesday’s Credit Union Journal Daily Briefing incorrectly identified Volunteer Corporate CU, which also is implementing Pointe2Pointe, as Volunteer Corporate FCU, and incorrectly stated the Nashville corporate is based in Knoxville.
