Desert Schools FCU helped collect food and cash donations to provide 9,000 meals to needy Arizona families.
During its Hunger Awareness Food Drive, employees and members collected 8,181 pounds of food items and enough cash to buy another 750 meals that was all donated to local food banks.
The food and cash was donated to Westside Food bank of West Valley, St. Mary's Food Bank of downtown Phoenix, St. Vincent de Paul of Casa Grande, St. Vincent de Paul of Payson, and United Food Bank of East Valley.
