NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Diebold FCU said it is offering a new service provided by its corporate sponsor, Diebold Inc., aimed at preventing unauthorized use of debit and ATM cards.

The service, called Card Lock, is part of Diebold Inc.’s MobiTransact mobile banking platform and allows users to use their mobile phones to simply turn a card on and off. When the card is turned off, transactions will not be possible.
Card Lock allows members to send a “lock” text command to quickly prevent a lost, stolen, or misplaced ATM/Debit card from being used.
The service allows members to feel as if they are in charge of their own card security – that they can do something about it.
