MINNEAPOLIS – FICO, maker of the ubiquitous credit score, yesterday said net income for its fiscal second quarter more than doubled to $20.0 million, from $7.7 million for the same period last year.
Second quarter revenues rose 4%, to $159.5 million.
Revenues for the company’s Applications operations, which include the company’s preconfigured Decision Management applications and associated professional services, rose less than 1% to $96.1 million; revenues for Scores, which include the company’s business-to-business (B2B) scoring solutions and associated professional services, increased 8% to $44.4 million; and for the company’s Tools operation, which include Blaze Advisor, Xpress Optimization and related professional services, revenues rose 19% to $19 million.
For the first six months of its fiscal year FICO reported a 7% rise in revenues to $329.9 million, and a doubling of net income to $50 million.
