First Carolina Corporate CU has created the Carolinas CFO Council to serve as a regional resource for CU chief financial officers and other staff responsible for the daily and strategic management of their credit union's balance sheet.
Providing education, networking and professional development opportunities, the council held its first meeting recently, and nearly 50 CU professionals listened in while Steve Rick, senior economist with CUNA, provided an economic overview, mid-term forecast and suggestions for balance sheet strategies in a rising-rate environment.
