DULUTH, Ga. – ATM maker NCR reported a more than doubling in first quarter earnings yesterday, to $29 million, amid an 18% rise in revenues.
Revenues for the first three months of 2011 were $1.24 billion, fueled by continued growth among the company’s U.S. regional banks and credit unions and in emerging markets.
The company has benefited in recent quarters from improving business in its core bank and credit union operations--especially among regional lenders. Many regional financial institutions had held off on ATM upgrades in recent years amid economic and financial uncertainty.
