BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Carol Anne Burger, a former reporter with Credit Union Journal who also worked for several other credit union organizations, was found dead in her home of an apparent suicide.
Burger, 57, was found by police just hours after having learned her long-time partner, Jessica Kalish, had been murdered. Police are investigating that crime, as well as the circumstances surrounding Burger's death.
In addition to her work with Credit Union Journal, Burger was an editor and reporter with Credit Union Times, and also worked for the National Association of Credit Union Supervisors, the National Association of CUSOs, and other organizations.
"All who worked with Carol Anne knew of her passion for credit unions and their work," said Credit Union Journal Publisher Frank J. Diekmann.
