RICHLAND, Wash. – HAPO Community CU is one of the first credit unions to introduce PSCU Financial Service’s Design Your Own Card personalized credit card service.
The service will allow members to upload a personal photo quickly and easily as part of an online credit card application, PSCU said. Cardholders also can select a photograph from a library of images.
HAPO CU does not charge extra for the card and plans to offer its members the ability to upload a new photo every 12 months for free. The credit union plans to charge $8.95 if a member wants to replace a photo in less than 12 months.
More than 30 credit unions have enrolled in the new PSCU service during its roll-out phase. The solution is available to all member credit unions.
The personalized platform is available for MasterCard or Visa credit cards only. Debit cards will be added in the third quarter of 2010. PSCU Financial Services said it offers marketing materials to help credit unions promote this new product.
