Tina Dix, who will retire next summer as CEO of OUR Credit Union, started as a teller at the Michigan credit union's predecessor in 1983.

Dix began her career at the credit union as a teller and loan officer in 1983. She became the credit union’s vice president of operations and branch services and held other management roles before becoming CEO in 2013.

“Tina has been an exceptional leader for OUR Credit Union. She has been the heart of this organization, building a team and executing a strategy that has helped us thrive,” Brian Cook, the board chairman, said in a press release Monday.

The credit union was originally chartered to serve the St. Dennis Parish community. It operated as St. Dennis Parish Credit Union until June 1984, when a charter change allowed it to open its field of membership to the entire Royal Oak community.

Dix said the credit union has been a home and a family to her for decades.

“As I look toward my own retirement, I am excited to see what will come next for OUR Credit Union. It is a special place because of the people who are part of it,” Dix said in the press release.

OUR Credit Union earned $910,000 in the first nine months of 2021, a 17% decrease from a year earlier, according to call report data from the National Credit Union Administration.
