Oak Ridge, Tennessee — Tennessee Members 1st Federal Credit Union has selected Rick Mikels to be its new president and CEO.
Mikels comes to Tennessee Members 1st from East Tennessee Military Association FCU, Louisvelle, Tenn., where he spent the last eight years as CEO. Prior to that, he served as CFO of Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union.
"Rick has a great deal of financial and business knowledge and we are confident that he will bring a successful future to Tennessee Members 1st FCU," said Wayne Missaggia, Chairman. "Rick has many great ideas for continuing and enhancing the history of growth and exceptional member service of Tennessee Members 1st. His leadership will be critical in finding new ways to serve our membership and meet their financial needs."
Mikels is succeeding the retiring Robert LaGanke, who has served as the credit union CEO for the past 12 years.
Chartered in 1946 to serve Department of Energy employees, Tennessee Members 1st has 5,450 members, $90 million in assets and two branches.
