Montana’s Valley FCU Expands With Merger Of Wyoming CU

BILLINGS, Mont. – Valley FCU of Montana has agreed to acquire Cody (Wyo.) Schools FCU, expanding its field of membership through all of Park County, Wyo., including Yellowstone National Park.

Valley Federal, with $155 million in assets, currently operates six Montana credit unions, four in Billings and one each in Columbus and Roundup, and serves 22,000 members in Yellowstone, Musselshell, Golden Valley, Sweet Grass, Stillwater and Treasure counties, plus Carbon and Big Horn along the Wyoming state line.

Cody Schools FCU has about $9 million in assets.

The two credit unions will run parallel operations until February or March when the transition, including computer systems, is completed.
