SAN DIEGO - (06/28/06) North Island CU said it hasinstalled a disaster recovery system provided by XOsoft Corp., ofWaltham, Mass. The system uses XOsofts WANSyncHA Server,WANSyncHA SQL for its Microsoft SQL database server, and WANSyncHAExchange for its Microsoft Exchange email server. The Xosoftsoftware suit provides real-time data replication to back-upservers, and automatic failover and failback for the $1 billioncredit union. If a problem occurs with the credit unionsmain server, users are automatically shifted to a back-up server tomaintain business continuity. Once the main server is back online,changes to the data on the back-up server are reflected on the mainserver and the users revert back to the main server.
