SAN DIMAS, Calif.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative, Inc., has set dates for free web seminars on Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training for shared branching. The web seminars are set for Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. PDT and Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. PDT. Compliance expert Mary-Lou Heighes, president of Compliance, Plus, Inc., will lead the discussion on the requirement standards for CTRs, SARs and Monetary Logs for shared branching transactions.

CFS Offers Online College Planning

CARY, N.C.-Collegiate Funding Solutions (CFS), a strategic partner of PSCU, is offering a web-based college-planning solutions for the financial services industry.

The CFS program is a web-based online questionnaire that generates a customized report for the credit union member. The reports offer custom strategies for reducing college costs, provide context for credit union-offered products/services and direct the member back to the credit union for implementation.

Maine State CU Selects Pemco

Seattle-Maine State Credit Union has selected Pemco Technologies for credit card processing as well as its Extra Awards loyalty program for cardholders. The Augusta-based institution has 25,000 members and $240 million in assets.

Pemco Technologies provides ipayment solutions to the financial industry including credit signature processing, debit signature and PIN-based processing, ATM services, cardholder award programs, portfolio-growth programs, fraud management/detection/prevention, prepaid card services, and personalized photo cards.

CU Direct Sets Loan Volume Record

CENTENNIAL, Colo.-CU Direct Connect recorded its highest indirect lending volume month in August 2008. The participating credit unions funded over $126 million in indirect vehicle loans in Colorado. This was the highest volume month since the CUSO was established in 2003. It was also the highest volume month since the program's inception in 1993, before it became a CUSO. The milestone was reached amid nationwide reports of a slow auto market.
