MasterCard Launches Savings

PURCHASE, N.Y.-MasterCard Worldwide has launched MasterCard Saving, which provides Debit MasterCard and eligible Prepaid MasterCard cardholders with hundreds of significant merchant-funded discounts and special offers each day from thousands of merchants across the country. Debit and prepaid MasterCard cardholders can enroll at savings.mastercard.com. There is no cost to cardholders. Through MasterCard Savings, cardholders will be able to select which merchants they receive promotional offers from and set up e-mail alerts so that they can be notified when discounts and other unique offers are available.

Akcelerant Software, LSC Partner

MALVERN, Penn.-Akcelerant Software LLC has partnered with The Loan Service Center Inc. (LSC), a staffing solution company with close ties to CU Recovery, to create CONNECT.LSC, an Akcelerant Framework connector that "will help streamline the delinquency management process," the company said. "CONNECT.LSC combines Framework technology with The LSC's unique ability to offer fully-trained collection staff on a part-time, full-time, permanent, or temporary basis," it added.

CO-OP Reports 1,000 CUs Sign Up

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-CO-OP Network reported that since its launch a year ago, more than 1,000 credit unions have migrated to an updated telecommunications platform "designed to enrich the functionality and performance of ATMs by ensuring secure message delivery, easy implementation and online views to network management." That network, TNSLink, developed by Transaction Network Service and branded as "CO-OP Connect" for CO-OP member credit unions, is an "end-to-end managed data communications solution designed specifically for the ATM, Kiosk and POS terminal markets." It added that the cost savings have been as much as 50%.

FSCC Reunites With NRS

SAN DIMAS, Calif.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative is reuniting with National Runaway Switchboard (NRS) to raise awareness with credit unions across America to support National Runaway Prevention Month during November.

FSCC is encouraging all credit unions (including non-shared branching credit unions) across the country to support the campaign, which aims to raise awareness of issues facing runaway and at-risk youth, and educate Americans about solutions and the role they can play in preventing youth from running. The theme of this year's NRPM campaign is "Let's Talk."
