RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-CO-OP Financial Services has joined Filene Research Institute's Chairman's Roundtable. Membership in the Roundtable is open to organizations providing grants of $250,000 to the Institute over a period of three years.

ATLANTA-CO-OP Shared Branching has added international passports and Canadian drivers licenses as acceptable forms of identification for member authentication for shared branching transactions. "Credit union members are much more diverse today than when our policies were first established," says Carroll Beach, president/COO of CO-OP Shared Branching. "Of the more than 3,300 branches available to participants, 120 are foreign."

Partnership Boosts DeposZip
SAN DIMAS, Calif-A collaboration between Financial Service Centers Cooperative, Inc. (FSCC) and EasCorp is being credited for increasing usage of DeposZip, the remote deposit capture product EasCorp offers to credit unions. According to EasCorp, the RDC product features a robust processing system that includes fraud protection capabilities for secure and safe check scanning. To date, the product has worked efficiently with no fraudulent activity taking place on any transactions. DeposZip enables members to make deposits from home allowing credit unions to be more convenient for members. Separately, EasCorp reported that DeposZip ended 2008 with more than 87,000 items deposited. Collectively, deposits totaled $76 million, with an average deposit value of $1,151. Throughout the year, the number of active CU members grew by 24% each month. Currently, DeposZip users represent CUs from 13 states.
