O Bee CU Pilots Processing Charity Donations

TUMWATER, Wash. – O Bee CU has partnered with FastTransact Inc. to bring credit card processing of charity donations to a financial institution's website – specifically, food banks and other non-profits that might not otherwise have the online technology to accept gifts in this manner.

Processing Content

FastTransact said it represents a model for other financial institutions to support non-profits in their communities in similar fashion.

Teaming up with FastTransact made it possible for O Bee to set up a single point of collection for the Thurston County and Tenino Food Banks and United Way of Thurston County. The monies collected are deposited directly into the non-profit accounts, so donations can be tax deductible.

Contributors can use any institution's Visa or MasterCard credit cards or Visa debit cards, not just an O Bee card.

FastTransact is located in Lacey, Wash. and offers a variety of merchant account services throughout the U.S. and Canada.
