OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. – Edward Chalifoux, Sr., who helped charter what was then called Master Printers CU in 1964, died last week at 85. Chalifoux, who worked as an executive with his family owned printing company, called Photopress, later served as chairman of the board of the credit union until his retirement in 1988, when it was renamed Oak Trust CU. He helped organize the union-based credit union at a time when the vast majority of print shops were union. The credit union now has almost $65 million in assets and 10,000 members.
