SAN FRANCISCO – Patelco CU announced yesterday it has signed with CO-OP Financial Services to offer the company MY Deposit system, which allows members to deposit checks from their home or office.
Members use their own scanners to capture the image, which is then sent to Patelco's online banking site. Members are able to print a receipt and see an immediate account update.
"Now our members do not have to leave home to make deposits," said John Shields, senior vice president/chief technology officer for Patelco. "We have 40 branches in Northern California, but still many of our members are not located near a branch. CO-OP My Deposit helps assure convenient access for our members."
The $3.6 billion credit union is a long-standing client of CO-OP Financial Services, having participated in the CO-OP Network of surcharge-free ATMs since June 2002.
