Pemco Recycling Is A Desk-By-Desk Effort

SEATTLE - Pemco has what Director of Marketing Scott Perry calls a "pretty green office."

"Every desk has a trash can and a recycle can. We have bulk paper recycling stations," he told Credit Union Journal. "We have a shredding service that recycles that paper. We are trying to reduce use of paper as much as possible by eliminating paper records and using electronic records. We scan faxes to create an electronic record, then recycle the paper. We are working towards eliminating the faxes and having people send us everything electronically where possible. Sometimes we need a signature, so a fax is required."
