Sidney FCU Selects Fiserv EFT

BROOKFIELD, Wis.-Fiserv EFT/CNS unit has signed a five-year agreement for ATM device-driving services and electronic funds transfer (EFT) processing with Sidney FCU of Sidney, New York. Fiserv will provide Sidney FCU with ATM operational support, ATM and debit-card processing services, network gateway access and on-line host authorizations. Sidney previously received its services from Fiserv via a reseller agreement.

Mindbridge Donates Equipment

NORRISTOWN, Penn.-Mindbridge Software has partnered with Auction Inn to sell obsolete computer equipment. A portion of the sale of the donated items will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lancaster. "This is a win-win situation for all parties involved. We are able to dispose of obsolete computer equipment while the Boys and Girls Clubs are able to use the proceeds in order to help with their fine programs," said David Christian, president of Mindbridge.

Liberty Debuts Gift Cards

MOUNDS VIEW, Minn.-Liberty Card Services is rolling out gift cards in time for the holidays. Liberty's stored-value gift card is a prepaid disposable Visa debit card that can be used wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. Buyers purchase the cards at a fixed-dollar amount of their choice; recipients can use them in person, on the phone or online. For smaller institutions, Liberty said its gift cards provide a low-cost entry point for offering a "big bank" service while adding a modest revenue generator to the product mix. "For larger institutions, the card provides an entry to the stored-value space with little risk or hassle," the company said. Setting up the gift card program can be accomplished in a matter of days.

Advisory Group Has Disbanded

WARRENVILLE, Ill.-Mid-States Corporate FCU said its Minnesota Advisory Group will disband upon completion of their assignment. The group was formed to provide member feedback and have a communications vehicle for Minnesota credit unions in implementing the merger of Mid-States with Minnesota Corporate that was initiated in October 2002.
