APPLETON, Wis. – Prospera CU announced yesterday it now offering its award-winning GoodMoney payday loan as a turnkey solution to credit unions nationwide.
For a minimal start-up fee, credit unions will have access to comprehensive training, advertising support and marketing materials. Also included is customized software provided by CU*Answers.
The GoodMoney payday loan alternative, which was launched in conjunction with Goodwill Industries, is half the cost of a typical payday loan. For the past three years, the credit union has granted more than 12,000 GoodMoney payday loans totaling more than $4.5 million.
Two credit unions have already agreed to offer GoodMoney: Superior Choice CU, in Superior Wis., and Delta County CU, in Escanaba, Mich.
Since its launch in 2005, Prospera's GoodMoney has received nationwide attention from The New York Times and USA Today. It has also received the credit union industry's Herb Wegner Award and spurred numerous inquiries from credit unions across the country.
