LIVE OAK, Texas – Randolph Brooks FCU is following closely on the heels of the first credit union iPhone app for mobile deposits with a beta deployment of a so-called agnostic version of the smartphone deposit technology that will be adaptable for Android, Blackberry, Samsung and all Apple devices.
Randolph Brooks is working with Mshift on the project and EasCorp FCU, which piloted the iPhone app, is doing the check 21 for this deployment.
The MShift application requires zero download, using instead a registration process with MShift and the financial institution. The application can integrate with multiple remote deposit capture (check 21) vendors.
EasCorp and its CUSO, Vertifi Software LLC have developed a mobile deposit app for the iPhone that is being piloted by Torrnace Community FCU and is also working on a mobile deposit app for Google’s Android. But MShifts application would be usable across the different mobile phone technologies, a so-called agnostic.
