LAWTON, Okla. — An armed robber discharged his weapon inside a Southwest Oklahoma FCU office here Monday, and that ended up costing the crook some money.
The thief, while holding a shopping bag open for two tellers to drop cash into, fired his gun and a round went through the bag. Neither teller was harmed, the FBI reported.
When the robber fled the office of the $88 million CU with an undisclosed amount of money, bills dropped out of the bag through the gunshot hole.
Officers spent several minutes picking up the loose money outside the credit union. The thief — who was wearing a hoodie, a dark ski mask, dark gloves, and dark sunglasses — is still at large.
