SAN DIEGO—San Diego County Credit Union announced it will return as the 2012 title sponsor of the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, the only national college football bowl sponsored by a credit union.

According to its new agreement, the 2012 game will match a Mountain West Conference team against Brigham Young University if BYU is bowl-eligible with at least six wins. The game is played at Qualcomm Stadium, which is also home to the NFL’s San Diego Chargers.
Last week in one of the better college bowl match-ups this year, Texas Christian University came from behind to defeat Louisiana Tech 31-24 in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. That game also generated a donation of $25,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation
