‘Super Freak’ Hunted In CU Heist

DENVER – The FBI is searching for a wild-wigged bandit believed to have robbed five area institutions, including Public Service CU on Monday.

The bandit, dubbed “Super Freak” for his resemblance to the famous funk singer Rick James, claims to have a weapon in his heists but has not shown one, according to the FBI.

In each of the robberies, the man entered the institution, pointed, and loudly ordered the tellers around, demanding money, according to the FBI.
