MUNCIE, Ind. – A convicted felon wanted in the May 27 robbery at Industrial Centre FCU turned himself in to authorities last week and pleaded innocent to charges related to the $250,000 heist.
Stanley Wills, 30, and alleged accomplice John Repass, 29, were formally charged on July 23, but authorities had been unable to locate Wills until he showed up for Thursday's hearing.
Wills’ attorney denied accusations made by Repass and another alleged accomplice, Maranda Conley, 28, that Wills was involved in the holdup.
Wills was convicted of robbery in 1999, and has also been convicted of battery and resisting law enforcement and is scheduled to stand trial next month on arson-related charges.
Repass was recently arrested in Midvale City, Utah, and is awaiting a return to Indiana after waiving extradition.
Conley, reported to be Wills' girlfriend, is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and assisting a criminal.
