Shell FCU Updates iLife

DEER PARK, Texas-Three years after the debut of its youth program, iLife, Shell FCU's website for iLife has undergone a transformation to what the CU calls an edgy and fresh look. The site now showcases upcoming events, iLife news, blogs, contests and links directly to the Shell FCU corporate website and Shell FCU's volunteer team, the Furthering Community Unity (FCU Team).

A financial resources quick link box has been added to provide information about purchasing a first car, budgeting, college and tips about getting a job. A new contest/game section was also added and currently features a Celebrity Spender Quiz named "What kind of celebrity spender are you?" Teens can see if they're big spenders like Lindsay Lohan or savers like Donald Trump. The blogs section of the website is updated weekly, which provides useful information such as preparing for college, the history of holidays, saving money, volunteering, life tips and more.

SCE FCU Overhauls Website

LOS ANGELES, Calif.-SCE FCU has overhauled its website at www.scefcu.org. Authorized SCE FCU employees are now able to access, modify and update the website via any web browser on a PC, Mac or smart phone. Built using Drupal open source CMS (content management system), multiple administrators control sections of the website, such as online banking, the SCE FCU Foundation, blogging and events-for continuous and timely adjustments. "We've moved from having Dreamweaver on a computer to a site that now lives on the provider's server," said Dawn Miles-Castillo, SCE FCU Multimedia Designer. "In the event of a technology catastrophe, scefcu.org continues to work seamlessly for members and employees."

New features for the English and Spanish versions of the website include live chat, news feeds with alerts, calculators and a proprietary all-in-one ATM and shared branch locator with driving directions.
