OMAHA, Neb. – A former teller supervisor at Metro CU was sentenced to five years probation, the first four on home confinement, for stealing almost $61,000 from cash drawers she was supervising. Jolyn Schmeling, 29, was found guilty of stealing the cash from tellers’ dispensers between June and September 2004. Th theft was uncovered during an internal audit and security cameras showed Schmeling accessing the cash dispensers in violation of the credit union’s policy.
