TEMPE, Ariz. – A former teller supervisor at Tempe Schools CU was charged Tuesday with stealing as much as $50,000 from the credit union. Maria Plascencia, 29, was responsible for depositing extra cash from the teller drawers every night into the vault. Instead, the supervisor allegedly stole some of the cash each time, police said. The scheme was discovered when Plascencia went on vacation and someone else filled in for her.
