Texas Plains FCU’s Terry McCormick Ends 28 Years As CEO

AMARILLO, Texas – Texas Plains FCU announced that Terry McCormick, a credit union executive since 1982 and its CEO since 1985, is retiring from the $30-million credit union.

McCormick joined the credit union – then named Plains Bell FCU – in 1985 as president. At the time, the credit union had 2,241 members and $7 million in assets.

McCormick began his career in the credit union industry with CUNA Mutual as a field representative for the Texas Panhandle area. In 1982, he became president of Borger 66 FCU.
